There is no button that guarantees a ChatGPT recommendation
Treat AI visibility as an information-retrieval problem. Your business has a better chance of being surfaced when the web contains clear, accessible and corroborated information that directly answers the user's question.
1. Make your business easy to understand
Your core pages should state your services, audience, geography when relevant, differentiators, pricing or buying process when appropriate, and evidence. Avoid forcing a system to infer the basics from vague brand language.
2. Publish pages around real questions
A page titled Why are my Meta Ads getting leads but no customers? has a clearer retrieval purpose than a generic page called Digital Marketing Solutions.
Answer the question early, then provide diagnosis, examples, steps and related questions.
3. Make pages crawlable and indexable
Check robots directives, canonical tags, status codes, JavaScript rendering and internal links. Important knowledge should not live only inside images or inaccessible interfaces.
4. Build corroboration
Profiles, reviews, reputable mentions, directories, partnerships, interviews and other independent sources help establish that an entity exists and is associated with particular services or expertise.
5. Keep information current
Update pages when platforms, pricing, product capabilities or recommendations change. Show published and updated dates where freshness matters.
6. Measure prompts, not only keywords
Track a fixed set of questions across ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and Google AI experiences. Record whether your brand is mentioned, which pages are cited and which competitors repeatedly appear.
